IV Sedation for Total Treatment RelaxationWe strive to deliver painless injections, but some patients are naturally anxious. If this sounds like you, we offer several sedation options that may make your visit much more relaxing. The first is intravenous (IV) sedation. We call this method “twilight” sedation, and it will ensure a comfortable dental visit with no pain or nervousness. You won’t be aware of the treatment being done. Using this method, we can often complete your treatment in just one visit.
We also offer nitrous oxide sedation, known as “laughing gas.” This sedation is inhaled through a mask that allows you to breathe in the medication and induces a state of relaxation. Local anesthetic will be administered in conjunction with nitrous oxide to eliminate pain in most cases. We work to make you feel comfortably relaxed throughout your dental treatment.
